From time to time the theatre has need of items ranging from ordinary to unusual, for shows, for the theatre building, and for our cast houses, where those talented people who perform and create the shows live while they are in Chatham.
If you can help out, remember that anything you donate is tax deductible, and we'll be more than glad to give you a receipt to file.
We are currently in search of items for:
Cast Houses
Small dressers, end tables, bedside tables, and coffee tables.

Props
Things must be in good repair, please, and period pieces: 20's, 30's, 40's rather than modern (60's and newer).
Small side or upholstered chairs -- must be low backed.
Small tables, canes and walking sticks, parasols, any "odd" antique pieces: birdcage, Victrola, candlestick telephones, beer mugs/steins, etc.
We would especially love to get metal beer mugs/steins! Remember the great ‘mug-ography’ in Beauty and the Beast? That pretty much did in our stock of these, and we use them a lot.
And, we’re sorry, but we just don’t need any more suitcases, unless they are from the 1930’s or older.

Costumes
At this time our costume and fabric storage spaces are jam-packed, between your generous donations and things being made new for each season's shows. While we don't want to turn away things that might be of use, we do need to be very selective about what we can take -- there just is no more room!
We would be interested in looking at:
Any women's period clothing from the 1960's and older, especially larger size women's things and beaded or sequined dresses.
Larger size men's formal wear and uniforms.
White shirts and formal shirts – we use these a lot, and they get worn and yellowed.
Men’s large size (38 and larger) pants, with long legs – for unknown reasons most of our larger sizes all have short legs – go figure!
Period suits, from the 1950’s and older.
Please no men’s sport coats, we have more than we can ever use and in fact had to weed some out to make space! Also, please, nothing polyester knit, the designers just don’t like to use it.

Backstage Coffee House
Our volunteer bakers keep busy all summer making those yummy things, but they could use your help with furnishing the ingredients:
Vanilla, shredded coconut, semi-sweet baking chocolate, all purpose flour, walnuts, unsweetened baking chocolate, granulates sugar, cream cheese, crushed pineapple, peanut butter, cocoa, chocolate chips, sour cream, eggs, butter or margarine, heavy cream, fresh fruit (strawberries, blueberries, apples, bananas, etc.), flavored decaf coffee, regular coffee, Chai tea, small plates, spoons and forks, and coffee mugs and cups.
Bakers
If you have a special dessert and would like to share it, please leave your name and number for the Coffee House Manager and she will be in touch with you.

Help is always needed!
Ushers, food booth, and coffee house workers are often needed. If you call 518-392-2245, we will pass your name on to the proper volunteer coordinator.
Gardeners: We had a wonderful volunteer who worked magic with the flower beds in front of the theatre, and did plantings by the road sign. We’re so thankful, and they looked lovely – but we’re sure she wouldn’t mind a helping hand. If you like to play with plants, just stop by or call to let us know.
Cast house maintenance: Five houses -- lots of actors and crew. It seems like there's always something that needs repair or touch-up. If you're handy with a hammer or paintbrush or like projects, we would be delighted to talk to you about what needs to be done.
